Terraces in the heart of nature

The arrival of the hot weather is the perfect time to enjoy our sunniest summer terraces! The ski resorts offer no end of options for enjoying delicious snacks and meals while admiring the spectacular panoramic views. The terraces at Llac de Pessons in Grau Roig, Coma d’Arcalís in Ordino, Borda de Conangle in Naturland and Pla de la Cot in La Massana are just a few examples. Plus, if you’re looking for a little extra entertainment in the form of live music, don’t miss L’Abarset, a must-see destination in Grandvalira where you can enjoy sets by the country’s leading DJs.

However, ski resorts aren’t the only place you can find terraces in the heart of nature. Andorra boasts such a wealth of natural environments that you’ll easily find other terraces in the great outdoors, like the ones at La Borda del Pi and Roc del Quer in Canillo Valley, at an altitude of 1,890 metres; L’Ovella Negra in Incles Valley; and the terrace at L’Era del Rossell, just a few metres from the Basilica of Our Lady of Meritxell; or Terrassa Les Pardines 1819 Mountain Suites & SPA, located in an idyllic setting surrounded by nature.

This establishment specialises in cocktails and you can also enjoy live music.

If you prefer a more central location, there are numerous options near the capital, such as the Roof Top Van at the Golden Tulip Andorra Fènix Hotel: a terrace boasting panoramic views and market cuisine in a unique setting with fire performers, light shows and live music. You can also visit the rooftop terrace at the Plan B aparthotel, where your gastronomic experience will be complemented by panoramic views over the city and river.

The terraces at Topic bar and restaurant in Ordino, La Birreria in the old quarter of Andorra la Vella and the well-known Bare Nostrum in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria are just a few examples.

 

 

Pedestrian terraces in the centre

In Andorra, we love shopping; but we also love strolling through the streets and enjoying relaxation and leisure time with our loved ones. Indeed, we enjoy it so much that you’ll notice how our most central streets are all pedestrianised.

Collectively known as The Shopping Mile, there are countless streets to explore, as well as squares and hidden corners where you can have a drink or a bite to eat. In the middle of the street you’ll find a whole string of terraces, as well as places like El Kram on Avinguda Meritxell and Iqos Lounge on Carrer de la Unió, among many others.

Last but not least, don’t forget that the streets aren’t the only option: if you’re looking for somewhere quieter and more relaxed, the areas overlooking the river are also a great choice. There you’ll find a number of ideal venues, such as Bar 13,5º, Plató restaurant and Barra Mar’s, where you can enjoy a bite to eat in a more tranquil setting, lulled by the murmuring soundtrack of the river.

Without a doubt, Andorra’s squares are the ideal place to enjoy a drink or bite to eat while out with your kids. Not only do they offer a wide range of terraces where you can choose from a variety of specialities; they also host numerous celebrations and popular activities.
